Day 1: Arrive Melbourne
On arrival at Melbourne Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception and dinner onboard the Colonial Tramcar Restaurant with your Tour Director and travelling companions. (D)

Day 2: Melbourne Sights
Enjoy a morning walking tour of Melbourne including the Botanic Gardens, St. Paul's Cathedral and Parliament House. (B)

Day 3: Melbourne At Leisure
Enjoy a day at leisure in cosmopolitan Melbourne. You may like to join an optional tour to the wineries in the Yarra Valley or tour along the famous Great Ocean Road to see the stone monoliths of the Twelve Apostles. (B)

Day 4: Melbourne / Alice Springs
You will be transferred to Melbourne Airport for your early morning flight to Alice Springs (flight cost not included). On arrival visitthe Royal Flying Doctor Service to see how this marvellous facility operates to provide a mantle of safety to the people of the outback. Next stop is the School of the Air, which provides an educational service for children living in remote areas. We then visit the historic Telegraph Station. You're invited this evening to experience the Aussie outback at the Earth Sanctuary World Nature Centre. Enjoy a barbecue dinner and hear from Tom and Danny Falzon about the sustainable lifestyle they have established. They may even lead you on a sing-a-long accompanied by the didgeridoo and guitar. Day 5: Alice Springs / Uluru (Ayers Rock)
Travel though rugged outback scenery to Ayers Rock Resort. Enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while watching sunset at Uluru (Ayers Rock). (B)
Overnight Desert Gardens Hotel, Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights.

Day 6: Uluru (Ayers Rock)&Kata Tjuta (the Olgas)
Rise early to view Uluru at sunrise. Tour the caves at the base and hear stories of the Dreamtime. This afternoon travel through the desert plains to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Enjoy sunset here with a glass of complimentary sparkling wine. (B)

Day 7: Uluru (Ayers Rock) / Cairns
This morning interact with local Aboriginal artists at a fun introduction to Western Desert Art. Your host will introduce you to Anangu culture and show you how this is expressed in their artwork. Complete your own painting to take home as a memento of your experience. Later you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport for your flight to Cairns (flight cost not included). Arrive and transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 8: Cairns - Great Barrier Reef
Cruise on a high-speed catamaran to the Great Barrier Reef. View the coral and fish from a semi-submersible craft and snorkel along the reef. Enjoy a reef education presentation on this living wonder and a delicious buffet lunch onboard the pontoon. (B, L)

Day 9: Cairns At Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Cairns. You may like to join an optional tour to Kuranda. Board the train for a historic journey through the scenic countryside behind Cairns. Return by the Skyrail Cableway that takes you above the canopy of the tropical rainforest. (B)

Day 10: Cairns / Sydney
Spend time at the Cairns Wildlife Dome where you'll encounter unique Australian animals. You will be transferred to Cairns Airport for your flight to Sydney (flight cost not included). Arrive and transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 11: Sydney Sights & Harbour Cruise
This morning see the sights of Sydney. Tour the Sydney Opera House with a local Guide. See the Royal Botanic Gardens, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair and Kings Cross. Visit famous Bondi Beach , where you can wander along the shoreline and dip your toes in the cool clear ocean. Then return to the city for a Sydney Harbour cruise. Later, you'll have the opportunity to learn about Australia's national gemstone - the opal. (B)

Day 12: Sydney At Leisure
A full day to explore Sydney, your way. Join your Tour Director and fellow travellers this evening for a Sydney Farewell Dinner. (B, D)

Day 13: Sydney / Auckland
You will be transferred to Sydney Airport for your flight to Auckland. (flight cost not included). On arrival in Auckland you will be transferred to your hotel. This evening enjoy a Welcome Dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travelling companions. (B, D)

Day 14: Auckland Sightseeing
A morning cruise on Waitemata Harbour is followed by a city sightseeing tour. (B)

Day 15: Auckland / Rotorua
Travel into the Waikato region to visit the Waitomo Glow Worm Grotto for a guided boat tour. Continue to Rotorua and visit TePuia with a local Guide. This evening you are invited to a Maori Hangi and concert at the Tamaki Family Marae. (B, D)

Day 16: Rotorua / Christchurch
Today you'll fly to Christchurch (flight cost not included). On arrival board your coach for a tour to see how the city is slowly being rebuilt as a consequence of the devastating earthquake of February 2011. (B)

Day 17: Christchurch / Tranz Alpine Train / Franz Josef
Board the famous TranzAlpine train and travel over the Southern Alps to Arthur's Pass. At Hokitika visit a local greenstone (jade) factory then follow the coastal road to Franz Josef Glacier, where you may take an optional scenic flight (weather permitting). (B, D)

Day 18: Franz Josef / Queenstown
Enjoy the tastes of delicious stone fruite at Cromwell, the stone fruit capital. Next visit the historic gold mining village of Arrowtown before arriving in the adventure-capital Queenstown. (B)

Day 19: Queenstown - Milford Sound
Super highlight day! Discover the stunning scenery of Fiordland. Drive through the Homer Tunnel and stop briefly at the Chasm en route to Milford Sound. Enjoy a cruise with lunch on the waters of this natural wonder, with Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls high above you. (B, L)

Day 20: Queenstown At Leisure
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Queenstown. Take it easy with a wine or garden tour, or walk on the wild side with a jet boat ride. (B)

Day 21: Queenstown / Christchurch
Travel past Mount Cook National Park. Stop at Lake Tekapo and visit the Church of the Good Shepherd. You are invited to lunch at Morelea Farm, a typical working sheep farm, to discover an authentic taste of country life. This afternoon continue to Christchurch. Celebrate your vacation this evening at a Farewell Dinner with your Tour Director. (B, L, D)
