Tour Overview:
The Journey Around Iceland takes you to all the main highlights of the country, including Lake Myvatn, Geysir hot spring area, Gullfoss waterfall, and Glacier lagoon to name only a few. This classical tour allows you to experience the uniqueness and variety of Icelandic mystical nature and culture. Every day you will discover new scenic views, ranging from volcanic black sands to farmlands and green oases, and from hot springs and bubbling mud to glaciers and icebergs.

Day 1: Welcome to Iceland

Individual transfer from Keflavik airport to Hotel Klettur in Reykjavik.

Day 2: Borgarfjorour

Through Borgarfjorour and Skagafjorour to Akureyri including a visit to Glaumbær folk museum. Accommodation at Hotel Kea (B)

Day 3: Lake Myvatn

Lake Myvatn area. Optional: Whale watching tour from Akureyri and Nature baths at Myvatn. Accommodation at Hotel Kea. (B)

Day 4: East Fjords

Dettifoss, Europe’s most powerful waterfall. From here we head towards the sparsely populated and very beautiful East fjords. Accommodation at Hotel Blafell. (B)

Day 5: Southeast Iceland

Skaftafell and Vatnajokull National Park. Optional Boat tour on Glacier lagoon. Accommodation at Hotel Klaustur. (B)

Day 6: South Shore

Iceland’s South Shore – including the black beaches, Seljalandsfoss, and Skogafoss waterfalls as well as a visit to Lava Centre. Accommodation at Hotel Selfoss. (B)

Day 7: Golden Circle

Golden Circle, including Gullfoss waterfall, Geysir hot spring area, and Thingvellir national park. Accommodation at Hotel Klettur. (B)

Day 8: Good-bye Iceland

Individual transfer from Hotel in Reykjavík to Keflavik Airport. (B)
