Nepal Experiences
Kathmandu
Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal and its most populous city. Known as the “city of temples”, Kathmandu is the main centre of Nepal’s art, history, culture and economy. Home to many UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the famous Darbar Square, Kathmandu’s 2,000-year old history reveals itself in many of its temples and religious monuments. The gateway to Mt. Everest and a melting pot of Hindu and Buddhist cultures, Kathmandu is one of the most historic and vibrant cities in South Asia.
Pokhara
Pokhara is Nepal’s largest metropolitan city in terms of area and is known as the country’s tourism capital. While the region is popular for adventure tourism, including the Annapurna Circuit trek, it is also home to the World Peace Pagoda and the International Mountain Museum. With stunning scenery, the tranquility of a lakeside surrounding and a plethora of adventure activities; including world class paragliding, Pokhara is truly fascinating beyond words.
Chitwan
Chitwan is Nepal’s first national park, and probably its finest. Established in 1973, it is one of Nepal’s tourism sector’s most vital cogs, owing to its rich flora and fauna. Home to the Bengal tigers, Indian one-horned rhinos, Asian elepehants, Gharial crocodiles, leopards and several species of deer, Chitwan is a biodiverse landscape of rivers and forests. It is also a great spot for activities such as river rafting, kayaking, canoeing, while being a famous bird watching destination. Chitwan also offers an immersive experience of interacting with the local Tharu community and watching their culture and lifestyle. One of the only places on the planet where you can spot a tiger on foot, Chitwan gives you an adrenaline rush like no other destination!
