Qatar Experiences
Doha
Doha is a modern, cosmopolitan city that retains its traditions. It brings together old-world hospitality with sophistication, a rich cultural wealth, new experiences, and adventures. The majestic sweep of the Corniche waterfront promenade offers spectacular vistas of this ever-changing city. Doha’s attractions include world class museums, exhibitions, concerts, theater, and public art. The Museum of Islamic Art, designed by IM Pei, houses a collection of the finest Islamic art from around the world. Souq Waqif with its bustling alley of shops, restaurants, traditional music, and cultural shows give visitors a taste of traditional street life, commerce, and local architecture. Do not miss the number of amazing public art installations throughout Doha and the country.
Khor Al Adaid
About 35 miles south of Doha, lies ones of Qatar’s most impressive natural wonders, Khor Al Adaid or the Inland Sea. A UNESCO recognized natural reserve with its own ecosystem, this is one of the few places in the world where the sea encroaches deep into the heart of the desert. Inaccessible by road, it can only be reached by 4x4 vehicle across rolling dunes. While here, visitors can try dune bashing, camel riding, sand boarding, watch the dramatic desert sunset, enjoy a moonlit barbeque under the stars or even overnight in a Desert Camp.
