Day 1 - Venice (Mainland) - Opatija
Pick up at the Tronchetto bus station or Venice airports (Marco Polo or Treviso). Transfer to Opatija, Croatia, a charming resort-town situated on the north coast of the Adriatic. Overnight in Opatija.
Day 2 - Opatija
Guided tour of Opatija, a coastal town situated on the picturesque Kvarner Bay and a cradle of Croatian tourism. It used to be the favourite spa resort of the Habsburgs and the European aristocracy as well as the 19th century elite Gustav Mahler and Isadora Duncan. Walking through the colourful Angiolina park and along the Lungomare sea promenade surrounded by charming Austro-Hungarian villas and residences you can still feel the unique glamour of Opatija. Day 3 - Istria Excursion
Today it's time to get to know the Istrian peninsula and visit the 2000-year-old roman Colosseum in Pula. Explore Rovinj, a charming coastal gem considered to be the most beautiful city in Istria and an inspiration to many artists. Time at leisure in Rovinj to stroll the cobbled streets, visit the art galleries or relax over a glass of cocktail in one of the cliffside bars. Return to Opatija for overnight. (B)
Day 4 - Opatija – Krk
Breakfast and check-out of the hotel. Transfer to Katarina Line cruise, starting in Opatija. Departure is scheduled for 14:00, with a delicious lunch served on board as we set sail. If you arrive a bit later, don’t worry – you can meet us in the charming town of Krk, located on the island that shares its name. Krk features a range of villages of various sizes, scenic promenades, rugged rocky areas dotted with small islands, and numerous secluded bays and beaches. The town’s waterfront is lively and inviting, offering plenty of bars and restaurants where you can unwind. Overnight in Krk town. (L)
Day 5 - Krk - Rab
After breakfast, cruise towards Rab, known as the “island of love”. On arrival, join a guided tour to visit the imposing stone walls and striking Romanesque church towers, churches, palaces, stone streets and ancient facades. Many streets and squares act as open-air galleries for artists working outside. Do not miss tasting the famous cake “Rapska Torta”. Overnight in the town of Rab. (B, L, T)
Day 6 - Rab - Sali
Morning cruise from Rab towards Sali, travelling by Pag, an island of the unusual, moonlike landscape. Lunch on board and swim stop. Sali is a charming coastal village on Dugi Otok, known for its authentic Dalmatian atmosphere and scenic beauty. It offers a peaceful stop with traditional cuisine and crystal-clear waters. Time at leisure. Overnight in Sali. (B, L)
Day 7 - Sali - Kornati - Zadar
Today, visit the region of the famous Kornati National Park – rich in fish and cultural and historic remains. Historic remains of the old Illyrian fortress, Roman villas, old Christian church of St. Mary and Medieval fortresses and settlements add to the value of these islands. The Kornati consists of 140 islands and reefs. Inlets of some islands descend steeply into the sea, a hundred meters deep in places, and dramatically razor sharp. It is truly something remarkable to see. Cruise towards Zadar, upon arrival join the guided tour. The city is today the centre of the region and was the metropolis of the Dalmatia region for many centuries. The rich cultural heritage is visible at every turn: the Roman forum which dates to the 1st century AD, the church of St. Donatus dating to the 9th century AD - the most famous Medieval basilica and the symbol of the city. The imposing and mighty city walls with representative Port and Land gates are from the 16th century AD, and there are numerous palaces and villas of former noble families. Great restaurants line part of the waterfront and the centre of town. Famous, contemporary creations are the Zadar Sea Organ, one of a kind in the world (listen to the sound) and “The Greeting to the Sun” light installation. Overnight in Zadar. (B, L)
Day 8 - Sali - Mali Lošinj
After breakfast and a morning swim, cruise towards Lošinj, known as “the sunshine island” with an abundance of pines, wildflowers and herbs. Lošinj is one of the most popular islands on the northern Adriatic waters for its hidden coves and cool Mediterranean vibe. On arrival to Mali Lošinj time at leisure, you can visit the Museum of Apoxyomenos, walk up to the Lošinj Aromatic Garden or to the smaller town of Veli Lošinj, both easy to reach and explore on foot. Day 9 - Mali Lošinj - Cres
Departure for the Cres island after the morning swim. Possible swim stop on island Susak, if weather permits. Cres is an unspoiled island, long and narrow abundant with olive groves, vineyards, forests of oak, beech and remarkable stone walls. Cres and Mali Lošinj made once one island before the Romans dug a narrow channel to separate them. In the evening, enjoy the Captain's dinner onboard with live music. Overnight in Cres. (B, L, CD)
Day 10 - Cres - Opatija
After breakfast, depart toward Opatija. The famous Opatija Riviera is best admired from the sea, offering views of elegant villas and lush, green hills. Enjoy lunch on board with a swim stop along the way. Arrive in Opatija in the afternoon and join a guided walking tour to explore the town’s rich history, Habsburg-era architecture, and beautifully maintained parks. After the tour, enjoy free time to stroll along Croatia’s longest seaside promenade—the Lungomare, or visit Volosko, a nearby fishing village known for its excellent bars and restaurants. Day 11 - Depart Opatija
Gather for one final breakfast, followed by goodbyes with all the new friends and the crew before they see you off in the port of Opatija. (B)
