If traveling all over Central America has ever been on your list, then look no further. This two-week long tour takes you to Costa volcanoes, rain forests, hot springs, “white pueblos”, lagoons, coffee farms and a number of other memorable places between Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Granada, El Salvador, Honduras and Guatemala.
Day 1 - San Jose
Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica. You are welcomed and transferred to the hotel.
Day 2 - San Jose – Volcanoes
This morning visit Arenal Volcano National Park, where you will enjoy magnificent views of the Central Valley and the volcano’s enormous crater, considered one of the largest in the world. Enjoy lunch at La Fortuna. Continue to visit Tabacon Hot Springs Resort, have dinner here and then transferred to your hotel. (BLD)
Day 3 - Arenal
After breakfast, visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges, one of the greatest eco tourist projects of Costa Rica, with an exuberant primary rain forest where you will find a great biological diversity and incomparable scenic splendor. You will be able to appreciate the natural beauties of the majestic environment, thanks to the imposing and huge hanging bridges with beautiful trails that give it easy access and great security. (B)
Day 4 - Penas Blancas – Granada (Nicaragua – Costa Rica border)
This morning, transfer to Penas Blanca border. After immigration, continue your journey into Nicaragua. On route you will drive through the famous “white pueblos” and the town of Catarina, stopping at one of the country’s most stunning panoramic views, the Apoyo Lagoon. Upon arrival at destination, you will be transferred to your hotel. Granada, the oldest colonial city in the western hemisphere of the Americas that still remains in its original place of construction. The city was founded in 1524 on the shores of Lake Cocibolca. (B)
Day 5 - Granada – Islands
We’ll start the day with a boat tour of Granada’s famous Isletas, an archipelago of more than 360 islets formed by an ancient volcanic explosion, just off the shore of Lake Cocibolca. While you listen to your guide’s commentary about the history of Lake Cocibolca, admire views of Mombacho Volcano and keep an eye out for native birds like tanagers, hawks, jays and warblers.
Then we will explore the city of Granada. Granada welcomes visitors with its colorful architecture and deep historical roots. On this tour, we will visit the museum at San Francisco Convent, which houses an important collection of historical artifacts and paintings, like the 28 pre-Columbian statues from Zapatera Island, dating from the years 800 to 1200 AD. You will also have the chance to enjoy the city from a different perspective at the top of the bell tower of La Merced Church. (B)
Day 6 - Granada – Mombacho Masaya – Managua
Breakfast at the hotel. We will start the day visiting Mombacho Volcano, traveling from the savanna dry region, through coffee farms and into the cloud forest. Upon arrival you will walk 2 Kms along to discover an unusual collection of orchids, ferns, butterflies, birds, and fantastic views (subject to weather conditions) of Granada its surrounding countryside
We continue to Masaya’s Handicraft Market where you will find beautiful crafts made of wood and ceramics, embroidery, hammocks, clothes and jewelry. We will continue to Masaya Volcano National Park where we can go near the edge of an active crater by vehicle. Masaya Volcano is one of Nicaragua’s most interesting and beautiful natural phenomena. Established in 1979 as the country’s first national park, Volcan Masaya comprises an area of over 33 square miles and more than 12 miles of scenic roads and trails, leading to and around the two impressive volcanoes and five formidable craters. We will continue to Managua, Nicaragua Capital. (B)
Day 7 - Managua – Leon – Managua
After breakfast, you will take a city tour of Managua, the capital city of Nicaragua and then continue to Leon. The city of Leon was originally founded by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Hernández de Cordoba in 1524. Later travel to Leon. Visit the cathedral, the ruins of Leon, the Ortiz Guardian and the Ruben Dario Museum. Later, visit the boilers of San Jacinto, which is a little town about 12 miles northeast of Leon. Behind the village lie boiling mud holes, connected probably to the Telica volcano. Later, enjoy the rest of the day at the beach of Las Penitas. (B)
Day 8 - Managua – San Salvador
Early morning transfer to the airport for your flight to San Salvador. Upon arrival you will be met and escorted to your city tour of San Salvador. The city is an epicenter of the economic, business, social, cultural and financial development of the country. Including cultural progress such as museums, monuments and its historic center. In the afternoon, return to your hotel. Dinner: Barcelo San Salvador (BD)

Day 9 - Ruta De Las Flores
We will visit the Ruta de Las Flores (Flower Route). A charming journey with a pleasant, cool climate, sites steeped in tradition and history, and a unique gastronomy. In the afternoon, return to your hotel. Dinner: Barcelo San Salvador. (BD)
Day 10 - Ataco – Joya de Ceren – Santa Ana – Copan
Today we will set off for Copán, Honduras. You will visit the Joya de Cerén Archaeological Park. Like the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculano, the pre-Hispanic agricultural community of Joya de Cerén was suddenly buried by an eruption of the Laguna Caldera Volcano around the year 600. Thanks to its perfect state of preservation, the remains of this site provide exceptional testimony about the daily life of Mesoamerican farmers of this time. Overnight accommodations at Copán. Lunch: Finca & Dinner: Marina Copan. (BLD)
Day 11 - Copan – Guatemala City - Antiga
Continue to the archaeological site of Copán. As you step inside the park, witness elaborate stone sculptures everywhere. As you walk into the dramatic expanse of the Great Plaza you are witness of the cultural achievements of the ancient Maya. Copán’s main plaza contains the greatest collection of Maya sculptures in Central America. Take time to explore and marvel at the beautiful Mayan stellae, majestic temples, and complete ball court. In the afternoon, transfer to Antigua Guatemala for overnight accommodations. Lunch: Las Ruinas & Dinner: Las Farolas (BLD)
Day 12 - Antigua Guatemala
Today you will visit the most important and enchanting city of colonial Guatemala. Founded by the Spaniards in 1543, nowadays Antigua is a beautiful blend of ruins, restored colonial buildings, and new buildings in colonial style. It was declared “Monument of America” in 1965. Visit the Central Plaza, which is surrounded by the antique Cathedral, the Municipal Government Building, and the Palace of the Captains General; colonial churches and monasteries, primitive foot-looms where colorful textiles are woven, and a jade factory where this stone is worked into beautiful jewelry. Dinner: Hotel Las Farolas. (BD)
Day 13 - Antigua
Day at leisure and overnight accommodations at Antigua Guatemala. Lunch: Porta Hotel Antigua & Dinner: Hotel Las Farolas. (BLD)
Day 14 - Antigua – Departure
Transfer to airport for your flight home. (B)
