5 Days: Doha, Qatari Desert

Tour overview:
A hereditary monarchy, Qatar is ruled by the House of Thani. The country lies on a peninsula in the Persian Golf and shares a short border with Saudi Arabia. This tour renders a comprehensive overview of modern Qatar. With its high income economy the country offers the discerning traveler a wide range of services from city experiences to desert adventures and beach relaxation.

Day 1 – Arrive Doha

Arrival at Doha Airport, then transfer to your hotel of stay, overnight in Doha

Day 2 – Doha – City Sightseeing

Full day sightseeing tour of Doha to discover how this rapidly changing city is successfully blending the old and the new. In the morning you will start with a visit to Katara Cultural Village. The next stop will be at the Equestrian Club to view some of the most beautiful Arab horses. Lunch at a local restaurant and then move to a shopping mall for a short guided tour and free time for exploration and shopping. Then head for a visit to the fascinating Museum of Islamic Art, followed by a visit to the atmospheric Souq Waqif. (BL)

Day 3 – Doha / Desert Adventure

Spend the morning at leisure in Doha. This afternoon our 4WD adventure takes us across the southern Qatari desert, with over half of this distance off-road. Our highly experienced drivers will take you on an exciting and unforgettable roller-coaster ride over the magnificent sand dunes – some as high as 150 foot. In our Desert Camp, relax, Bedouin-style, complete with carpets and cushions and our famous Arabic hospitality. Enjoy sun-bathing and a refreshing swim at our private desert beach! Spend an unforgettable night in the desert camp. Enjoy a delicious traditional barbecue dinner around the camp fire, then retire to your traditional Bedouin tent for a restful night. (BD)

Day 4 – Desert Adventure / Doha

Morning return to Doha. Spend the day at leisure or perhaps add on an afternoon museum or shopping tour. (B)

Day 5 – Depart Doha

Transfer to the airport for your departure flight. (B)
