ITINERARY
Tour Overview: This 6-day tour includes walking foodie tours where you will learn about Hong Kong and Macau’s culinary cultures. You will discover great eateries in selected neighborhoods including local restaurants in Hong Kong and delicacies such as Egg tarts and Pork Chop bun in Macau.
Day 1 – Arrive Hong Kong
Arrive this evening in Hong Kong, the ‘City of Lights’. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred by private Car to the Harbour Plaza Metropolis hotel. There has been little change to this teeming metropolis since its transition back to China and to a visitor, the city’s magic is as captivating as ever. Hong Kong is where the mystical East meets the modern West, where the potpourri of sights, smells and sounds never fails to delight the senses. The city offers the traveler a myriad of exotic experiences that lay just waiting to be savored. HARBOUR PLAZA METROPOLIS HOTEL
Day 2 – Hong Kong
This morning following breakfast, you will get an opportunity to tour Hong Kong Island on a seat-in-coach basis. Your tour includes visits to Golden Bauhinia Square, Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen Fishing Village. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)
Day 3 – Hong Kong Foodie Tour
Experience a walking foodie tour in Hong Kong today. A food tour is a guided walking tour with a focus on a city’s culinary culture. On our food tours, you will be led by one of our Foodies who will take you to discover great eateries in selected neighborhoods where you will taste delicious classic Hong Kong cuisine at 6 local restaurants. As you meander on your walk, you will also learn about the history and culture of Hong Kong. (B)
Day 4 – Hong Kong / Macau – Foodie Tour
This morning, transfer to the pier to take the ferry to Macau. Arrive in Macau, where you will be met and transferred to the Holiday Inn Hotel. Macau lies on the western side of the Pearl River Delta, bordering Guangdong province in the north and facing the South China Sea in the east and south. Macau was a Portuguese territory for over 300 years. It is a city of blended cultures. Ancient Chinese temples sit on streets paved with traditional Portuguese tile. It is also known globally as the “Las Vegas of Asia” with its new mega-casinos, a mecca of gambling and glitz. One of the best ways to experience Macau’s blend of cultures is to enjoy a Foodie Walking Tour. One of our expert food guides will take you to discover great eateries in selected neighborhoods where you will taste delicious classic Macau cuisine at four local restaurants and shops. You will taste some of the local cuisine including Portuguese Egg tarts from a bakery shop, Macauese Pork chop bun with milk tea, Wonton Noodles and almond cookies. The rest of your day is at leisure. Overnight at the hotel. HOLIDAY INN HOTEL MACAU. (B)
Day 5 – Macau Sightseeing
Enjoy your morning tour of Macau on seat in coach basis with local English guide. The tour includes visits to Ruins of St. Paul, Mount Fortress, Sections of the Old Wall, Leal Senado Square, Border gate of mainland China, A Ma Temple and Nam Van Lake for photo opportunity and the casino. The rest of your day is at leisure to relax and to pursue independent activities (B)
Day 6 – Macau / Hong Kong / Depart
Today you are transferred to the ferry terminal to board the ferry to Hong Kong International Airport. (B)
