Ulaanbaatar
Ulaanbaatar is the capital and largest city of Mongolia. It is the country’s commercial, political and cultural hub. Gobi Desert
The Gobi Desert is a vast arid location in northern China and southern Mongolia. It is known for its dunes, mountains and uncommon animals such as snow leopards and Bactrian camels. The Gobi Desert is the world’s sixth largest desert and Asia’s second largest. It is famous for dinosaur species recovery as well as its abundance of natural resources. Rich in copper, gold and coal, it is home to the world’s third largest copper and gold mine.
Kharkhorin
The site of Mongolia’s erstwhile capital Karakorum, Kharkhorin is a Soviet town built during the Middle Ages. The city is in close vicinity to some great attractions such as the stunning lakes of Naiman Nuur, Orkhon Khürkhree waterfall and the sand dunes known as Mongol Els.
