Tour Overview:
This 8-day tour of Greenland’s South West Coast starts in the most popular tourist destination and third largest town, Ilulissat. Then embark on a 4-night journey on a ferry southbound along Greenland’s west coast. Stops will be made in Sisimiut, Nuuk and other towns before arriving in Qaqortoq, one of the greenest areas in the country. Your adventure continues with a helicopter flight to Narsarsuaq.

Day 1: Saturday – Arrival Ilulissat

You will be met by your guide at the airport and transferred to your hotel for check in. Following will be
walk through the old part of town and see buildings from the start of the Danish trading station, the busy fishing harbor, the old church, and the museum (entry included). 2 course dinner included at the hotel.
Duration approx. 1,5 hour including transfer.

Day 2: Sunday – Aasiaat

After breakfast, the morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, transfer to the pier for embarkation on the MS Sarfaq Ittuk ferry from Ilulissat to Qaqortoq for a southbound journey along the Greenlandic West coast. Depart at 17:00. There will be a short stop in Aasiaat this evening. (B)

Day 3: Monday – Sisimiut, Kangaamiut Maniitsoq

On today’s journey, the ferry will make stops in Sisimiut, Kangaamiut, and Maniitsoq (B)

Day 4: Tuesday – Nuuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, Paamiut

As you continue south, the ferry will make stops in Nuuk, Qeqertarsuatsiaat, and Paamiut(B)

Day 5: Wednesday – Arsuk, Qaqortoq

Ferry MS Sarfaq Ittuk – Ilulissat to Qaqortoq
On this last day, the ferry will make a short stop in Arsuk before continuing to Qaqortoq. You will be transferred from the pier to your hotel.

Day 6: Thursday – Qaqortoq

Qaqortoq, often described as the most beautiful town in Greenland, has a picturesque setting between the fiord of Qaqortoq and the lake of Tasersuaq. On your city walking tour, you will see the beautiful old fountain, stone sculptures and carvings scattered throughout.

Day 7: Friday – Qaqortoq, Narsarsuaq

A helicopter flight will take you from Qaqortoq to Narsarsuaq. Flying in low altitude over the magnificent Arctic landscape makes for a most memorable way to end your trip.
Weather forbidding, the transfer from Qaqortoq to Narsarsuaq will be operated by boat.
Transfer from the airport to the hotel.

Day 8: Saturday – Narsarsuaq
