Day 1: Arrival
Upon arrival in Rome, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in. Overnight in Rome.
Day 2: Rome in a day (B)
“With a sightseeing list that would baffle even the most seasoned travellers, Rome is a veritable feast of art and history that can be challenging to navigate, especially if time is tight. Designed to make the most of your stay in Rome, this tour packs all the city’s highlights and most iconic sites in just one day, leaving you with a good taste of what the Italian capital has to offer. You’ll start the day with a view of the Roman Forum, the hub of public life in ancient Rome, while making your way to the Colosseum, the legendary arena where gladiator games were staged to entertain the crowds. After the visit, you’ll enjoy a delightful stroll around the historic centre, past picture-postcard sights like Bernini’s fountain in Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, and the Trevi Fountain. When the clock strikes lunchtime, you’ll have some free time to enjoy the local cuisine before continuing the tour at the Vatican Museums. Here, your guide will walk you through the most celebrated treasures, including the Sistine Chapel, the world’s greatest work of art. Overnight in Rome.”
Day 3: Rome to Florence (B)
Meet your driver at your accommodation and transfer to Rome Termini Station. Train to Florence. Upon arrival, self transfer to your accommodation. The rest of the day is free at your disposal to explore and discover! Overnight in Florence.
Day 4: Florence walks with Accademia Gallery (B)
“Join an expert local guide for a fun, informative walk through the city’s past and learn about the rich legacy of the Medici family, who were not only famous bankers but also important patrons of the arts and left the city a wealth of cultural and artistic treasures. The guide will take you to famous spots such as Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral with Giotto’s bell tower, the Baptistery with Ghiberti’s stunning gold-paneled doorway, and Orsanmichele before crossing the Ponte Vecchio bridge and entering the Oltrarno neighbourhood, an area renowned for its artisanal workshops and quaint atmosphere, making it the perfect place to grab a gelato and relax. During the tour, you’ll also visit the Accademia Gallery, home to one of the most exquisite art collections in town, which includes Michelangelo’s giant statue of David, a symbol of Florence and one of the greatest works of art of all time, along with paintings by major Florentine artists like Giotto, Botticelli, Ghirlandaio, ancient plaster casts, and antique musical instruments. Overnight in Florence.”
Day 5: Tuscany Grand Tour: Siena, San Gimignano, Chianti and Pisa tour from Florence (B)
After departing from central Florence, your first stop will be Siena for a guided tour of its UNESCO-listed historic centre, which includes the unique shell-shaped square where blazing horses compete twice a year in the legendary Palio race. Next, you’ll reach San Gimignano, the stunning medieval town with an impressive skyline crowned by 14 towers that have survived through the centuries, earning it the nickname ‘Medieval Manhattan”. Get some time to explore its cobbled lanes, then move on to the hills of Chianti for a delicious Tuscan lunch and wine tasting in a splendid estate amid the region’s lush vienayrds. In the afternoon, visit Impruneta to learn all about its remarkable terracotta production, then continue to Pisa, the last stop on the tour, for a walk around Piazza dei Miracoli, home to the famous Leaning Tower. Overnight in Florence.
Day 6: From Florence to La Spezia with enroute stop in Pisa & Lucca (B)
“Meet your private driver guide at the hotel early in the morning and transfer to La Spezia. Your first stop will be in Pisa for an independent visit. Once on the sea, Pisa was an incredible maritime power, with Venice, Amalfi, and Genova for centuries in the middle ages. The Leaning Tower made of Pisa a must-see site, but the city offers many other exciting things. The beautiful Square of Miracles (Piazza dei Miracoli) hosts a beautiful Cathedral and the Baptistery. We’ll then continue to Lucca, for an independent tour. Located at the foot of the Apuan Alps, Lucca is one of the cities most loved in all of Tuscany. The Roman amphitheatre testifies Roman’s origin of the town. But still today, you can recognize Lucca as a Medieval town. The imposing walls surrounding the old town were maintained, and today, the top is a pedestrian promenade. The area around the walls is expertly preserved, with flourishing grass and trees everywhere along the walls. It’s great to see these imposing walls transformed into a park, where everyone can enjoy a bike ride around the perimeter, have a stroll or just rest on one of the many shaded benches. You will arrive in La Spezia late afternoon. Overnight in La Spezia.”
Day 7: Cinque Terre (B)
“Today explore the magnificent Cinque Terre. The best way to explore this area is via train, this is why we suggest you to explore it with Cinque Terre Card.
Cinque Terre is the name of a district that encompasses five glorious towns, where small houses are surrounded by lush nature. Visitors are fascinated by the beauty of these five small villages, namely: Manarola, Riomaggiore, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare. The inhabitants of Cinque Terre benefit not only from its pristine waters, but from its natural environment, where wild nature is interspersed with vineyards, olive groves and citrus orchards, creating a precious bond between man, his traditions and this breathtaking stretch of coast. Overnight in La Spezia.”
Day 8: Departure (B)
After the breakfast you will be met and transferred to airport or train station.
