Tour Overview:

Discover the beauty of winter in Northern Norway and the Arctic. Explore Tromso with its immaculate landscapes and the northernmost Polar park in the world. Learn why the famous port city of Narvik was strategic in the Second World War.

Day 1: Arrival To Tromso

Welcome to Tromsø! Located at 69 degrees north – Tromsø is 320 km above the Arctic Circle. Visitors are amazed when they discover that this city has hotels with international standard, lively cafes, world class seafood restaurants, an active cultural life, an exciting nightlife, museums, and captivating art galleries.

Transfer to a hotel on a private basis.
Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Tromso – Narvik

Breakfast in the hotel.
Explore Tromsø region and discover the different immaculate landscapes and sometimes you will find yourself flowing between walls of snow!
Today you will visit the northernmost Polar park in the world, where you can meet the big predators of the Arctic: the lynx, wolf and wolverine; but also more docile animals like elk, reindeer, musk ox or the arctic fox.

Note : we can not guarantee all the animals above will come out to play, but if you are lucky you will see them ALL!

Continue to Narvik, the famous port city. Narvik is also known for its strategic location during the Second World War.

Day 3: Narvik – Svolvaer

Breakfast in the hotel.
Drive towards Sortland for a SAMI experience at a typical reindeer farm. You will have an opportunity to meet these majestic docile animals and meet with a reindeer herder. After lunch you will drive towards Svolvær through majestic landscapes and if the weather is right there will be plenty of photo opportunities along the road.

Arrival at the hotel and check in.

Rest of the evening at leisure.

Overnight in Thon Hotel Lofoten or similar

Day 4: Svolvaer

Breakfast in the hotel.
Today you will get to know the famous Lofoten better.

Along the way you’ll see white sandy beaches, mountains and lakes, and iconic little fishing villages that have made the islands so famous. In the evening you will head out on a northern light chase with your guide who will do their best to bring you to the perfect location to witness this fantastic phenomenon.

Note: This is a natural occurrence that we are unable to predict – our guides are trained to investigate and search out best location for viewing – which may include long drives out of the city/town, to find location with minimum light pollution. Even then we cannot guarantee this phenomenon.

Day 5: Tromso

Breakfast and afternoon departure towards Harstad to catch the fast boat to Tromsø.
Departure from Harstad at 16:15 arriving 19:15 in Tromsø.
Short walk to your hotel.

You have an option to participate on another Northern Light excursion if you were not lucky the previous night.

Day 6: Tromso

Breakfast and day at leisure for optional activities.
Spend the day snowshoeing on Kvaløya Island, experiencing the unique feeling of dogsledding through the arctic landscape or snowmobiling through the Lyngenalps.

Choose one of the other optional activities.
In the evening you will have a chance to admire Aurora while having an Aurora Fjord Cruise

Day 7: Farewell

Breakfast at the hotel
Enjoy your last moments in Tromsø
Transfer to the airport.
