Tour Overview
Experience a world class Volga River cruise onboard the luxurious MS Volga Dream. Learn about Russia’s culture, traditions, and fascinating history as you sail from Moscow to St Petersburg. This program starts in Moscow with a city tour including a visit to the Kremlin and St. Basil’s Cathedral. While cruising on the Volga, stops will be made in Uglich, Goritsy with a visit to the Monastery, and Kizhi Island with a visit to the Open air Museum of Wooden Architecture. The cruise ends in St Petersburg with a visit to the Hermitage Art Museum.

Day 1

Embarkation in Moscow, welcome meeting, dinner on board.(D)

Day 2

Breakfast, city sightseeing tour of Moscow, lunch at local restaurant, visit to the Kremlin including one cathedral (entrance), dinner on board. (BLD)

Day 3

Breakfast, optional excursion to Sergiev Posad with visit to the Trinity Monastery (entrance), lunch and dinner on board, set sail, Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Reception.(BLD)

Day 4

Breakfast, arrival in Uglich, walking city tour including visit to Kremlin, Dmitry on the Blood Church and Transfiguration Cathedral, lunch and dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 5 

Breakfast, arrival in Yaroslavl, bus city sightseeing tour including visit to the Church of the Ilja the Prophet, the Church of St. Nicolas the Wonderworker (entrance), Interactive tour of Art Gallery in the Governor’s House (entrance), visit to local market, lunch and dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 6 

Breakfast, arrival in Goritsy, visit to the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery (entrance) and Museum of Icon (entrance), lunch and dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 7

Breakfast, arrival on Kizhi Island, visit to the Open Air Museum of Wooden Architecture (entrance), the Transfiguration Cathedral, Intercession Cathedral and a traditional Izba, visit to Captain’s Bridge, lunch and pirate dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 8

Breakfast, arrival in Mandrogui, “Green Stop”, walking tour to typical Russian village and visit to Vodka-Museum, BBQ lunch ashore and Captain’s Dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 9

Breakfast, city sightseeing tour of St.Petersburg, visit to Peter and Paul fortress, lunch at local restaurant, visit to Hermitage Art Museum (entrance), dinner on board.(BLD)

Day 10

Breakfast, optional excursion to Zarskoye Selo with visit to Catherine’s Palace (entrance) and to Pavlovsk with visit to Pavlovsk Palace(entrance), lunch and dinner on board.(BLD)
