8 Days / 7 Nights : Interlaken – Montreux – Zermatt – St. Moritz – Lugano – Lucerne – St. Gallen

Overview: This route leads you through 1600 kilometres of the country’s most beautiful regions. You will travel through four linguistic regions, over ive Alpine passes, to eleven UNESCO World Heritage Sites and two biosphere reserves and along 22 lakes.

Day 1 – Arrival In Interlaken
Individual travel by train via Lucerne to Interlaken along the shores of crystal-clear lakes, past romantic waterfalls and over the magnificent Brünig mountain pass. Overnight in Interlaken.

Day 2 – Goldenpass Line
Breakfast at the hotel. Your journey continues with the GoldenPass Line through the wild and romantic Pays d’Enhaut through scenic villages along the shore of Lake Geneva. Overnight in Montreux.

Day 3 – Montreux – Zermatt
Breakfast at the hotel. Travel from Montreux to Zermatt. Zermatt lies at the foot of the Matterhorn and offers plenty of things to explore. Enjoy a leisure day on your own and don’t miss out an excursion to the Gornergrat (optional tour). Overnight in Zermatt.

Day 4 – Glacier Express
Breakfast at the hotel. Take the world-famous Glacier Express to St. Moritz. Enjoy some of the spectacular scenery Switzerland has to offer. Along the deep Rhone valley, the Glacier Express travels through an incredibly fascinating part of the Alps. Overnight in St. Moritz.

Day 5 – Bernina Express
Breakfast at the hotel. Board the Bernina Express, travel over circular viaducts and pass through winding tunnels before reaching Tirano in Italy. Change to the Bernina Express bus which will take you onwards to Ticino. Overnight in Lugano.

Day 6 – Gotthard Panorama Express
Breakfast at the hotel. The Gotthard Panorama Express travels from the Mediterranean south to the traditional heart of Switzerland. From Flüelen you will have a boat ride over Lake Lucerne. Overnight in Lucerne.

Day 7 – Voralpen-express
Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy the beautiful journey with the Voralpen-Express which connects Central and Eastern Switzerland. Overnight in St. Gallen.

Day 8 – Departure St. Gallen
Breakfast at the hotel. Individual return journey to your ending point in Switzerland.
