Start in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria; visit the Old Town in Plovdiv; the town of Kazanlak, famous for the Thracian tomb; take in the mediaeval Tsarevets Fortress located on a picturesque hill in town of Veliko Tarnovo; explore the capital city of Romania, Bucharest; beautiful Peles Castle and discover the legend of Dracula at Bran Castle.

Day 1: Sofia

Arrival in Sofia. Transfer to the hotel for accommodation and time at leisure till the end of the day. Overnight in Sofia.

Day 2: Sofia – Plovdiv

After breakfast, proceed for Guided City Tour of Sofia & hear about the history of this fascinating city. Free time in the city center. Transfer to Plovdiv. Accommodation. Overnight in Plovdiv. (B)

Day 3: Plovdiv – Bachkovo – Plovdiv

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Plovdiv – European capital of culture 2019. Walk in the Old Town, including the Roman Ancient Theatre, which was built in the 1st century AD and is nowadays considered to be the largest surviving Roman construction in Bulgaria, visit to the Ethnographic Museum, Roman Stadium, St. Constantine and Helena Church, etc. In the afternoon a trip to the famous Bachkovo Monastery, located only 20 minutes’ drive from Plovdiv. Sightseeing of the complex. Drive back to Plovdiv. Overnight in Plovdiv. (B)

Day 4: Plovdiv – Kazanlak – Etara – Veliko Tarnovo

Breakfast. Check-out the hotel and departure for the beautiful town of Veliko Tarnovo. On the way stop for a visit to the Valley of Roses and the town of Kazanlak famous for the Thracian tomb included in the list of UNESCO world cultural heritage. We continue through the mountainous Shipka Pass and then take a short break at the ethnographic open-air museum Etara. Arrival in Veliko Tarnovo in the late afternoon. Overnight in Veliko Tarnovo. Day 5: Veliko Tarnovo – Arbanassi – Bucharest

Breakfast. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo with a visit of the mediaeval Tsarevets Fortress located on a picturesque hill, Samovodska street market, etc. Drive to the nearby village of Arbanassi, declared an architectural reserve. Arbanassi is famous for its well preserved 17th and 18th century churches and the typical Revival architecture of its houses. In the afternoon departure for Bucharest. Arrival in Bucharest in the evening. Overnight in Bucharest. (B)

Day 6: Bucharest – Sinaia

Breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour of Bucharest with local guide – the Palace of Parliament (House of People), Palace Square, Revolution Square, Romanian Athenaeum, Triumphal Arch, etc. Free afternoon for exploring the city – one may visit the Palace of Parliament, stroll in the Old town and the main pedestrian area, visit museums, etc. Departure for Sinaia. Check-in at hotel. Overnight in Sinaia. (B)

Day 7: Sinaia – Bran – Brasov – Sinaia

Breakfast. Morning visit of the famous Peles Castle in Sinaia. A tour to Bran for a visit of the popular Dracula`s Castle and a city tour in the old mediaeval part in the town of Brasov. Drive back to Sinaia. Overnight in Sinaia. (B)

Day 8: Sinaia – Bucharest

After breakfast proceed from Sinaia to Bucharest airport for your departure. (B)
